Jasper

Jasper is an opaque and usually patterned form of chalcedony, and is formed in several colors: dark red, orange, yellow, tan, brown, green, grey, and blue. It is known as the "supreme nurturer".

One of the stones in the breast plate of the high priest.

Often worn by shaman to provide protection, and use in their magical practices and is a sacred stone of the "old ways" of Native Americans.

Jasper is a powerful protection and grounding stone, used to align the energy of the chakras for astral journeys. Specifically placed over the hear and navel chakras prior to astral travel.

Promotes general healing, tissue regeneration and it stimulates the immune system. The placement and effect varies somewhat with the color. Yellow jasper stimulates the heart area. Red is used for bronchial problems. Brown is for grounding, and green jasper has overall healing effects when worn or held.

Jasper is also used in drowsing.
