Pyrite crystallizes in the form of masses, stalactites, grains, globes, striated cubes [the striations at right angles to each other on adjacent faces], and twelve-faced pentagonal dodecahedral crystals. It also occurs as a replacement mineral, supplanting many other mineralogical structure and hence, occurring in a multitude of configurations. The colour is brass-yellow.
This mineral possesses a defending quality and is an excellent preventive which will shield one from many forms of negative energy. Simply having a piece of pyrite on ones person brings in the protective, shielding aspect of his stone which works on the physical, etheric, and emotional levels.
