Quartz has both piezoelectric (pronounced pie-ee-zo) and pyroelectric properties; the polarity of the quartz crystal will change when it is either subjected to pressure or heat, as well as when it is held in the hand – the tip, normally positive and receiving energy, will then change and become negative, thus, emitting energy which will radiate from the tip or from an edge. These properties support the amplification, focusing, storage, transfer, and transformation of energy.

Quartz is said to bring the energy of the stars into the soul. Traditionally, the natural quartz crystal was said to both harmonize and align human energies – thoughts, consciousness, emotions – with the energies of the universe and to make these greater energies available to humanity. The natural tendency of quartz is for harmony, and it is recognized as a “stone of power”.

The quartz crystal is the connection between the physical dimension and the dimensions of the mind. It can be used to communicate with minerals, plants, animals, and intelligent forces outside of the physical dimension. In early times, when all things were thought to be conscious parts of a greater living consciousness, the quartz crystal was believed to synchronize the individual and total consciousness with that of the heavens and the advanced life-forms.

The quartz crystal can be used to facilitate both speaking with, and receiving information from, the spiritual and other-worldly masters, teachers, and healers.

It can also be used to transform thoughts into sound, producing the vibration associated with the thought and affecting the environment with the discharged energy.

The quartz crystal can create altered states of consciousness and can serve as a vehicle for both reaching and utilizing the talents and abilities of the mind. All of the psychic abilities can be stimulated and amplified by the use of this mineral. It further assists one in retaining calmness and clarity in all situations, decreasing the amount of negative affectation which could inhibit emotional stability. It provides for enhanced energy and promotes perseverance and patience, and well as for restful sleep.

Quartz crystals were used in Atlantis and Lemuria for rejuvenation, and in the development of a complete civilization of incredible power and splendor. Quartz crystals  can be used to clear and to activate the energy centers of the body. It attunes well to the heart chakra and responds very well at the third-eye [or brow] chakra. Placing the crystal at the area of the third-eye, during meditation, seems to enable one to focus more clearly with the mind such that the mind can become empty; this may be attributed to the feeling of “oneness” conveyed during the meditation. It further promotes the reflection and magnification of images and thoughts, so that one may evaluate the inner reaches of the self. Placement of the crystal upon the heart chakra, can help to clear emotional disturbances from ones being; it also further enhances the states of self-acceptance and self-love.

Use of quartz to activate the crown chakra has been quite effective. The spiraling effect of energy produces a clear pathway for the movement of the Kundalini and for access to the realm of spirituality. If, however, one has not overcome personal “will” and the crown chakra is opened via the quartz crystal, the available energy could produce disruption within the emotional, physical, and spiritual centers. The opening of this chakra provides a pathway for communication from the higher-self; the best results being obtained with the “will” is “willing” and receptive to following the higher guidance.

The quartz crystal provides for purification of the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies. Quartz induces amplification of the energy field in the location in which it resides. The quartz crystal can produce a force field of healing negative ions while clearing the surrounding atmosphere of positive ions. It also tends to cancel the harmful effects of radiation and radioactivity.  Wherever worn or carried, it acts as a physical and mental energizer; it also enhances and protects the aura and provides for amplification of the energy field of the body.

Experimentation with Kirlian photography shows that the direction  in which the pint is worn make very little difference; there is actually an overall increase in the energy field no matter which way the crystal points.

Pointing the crystal “up” has channeled energy into the upper chakras, causing some people to be so stimulated that they felt they were leaving their bodies [tending to make one “spacey”]; using the crystal while positioned in this direction has been quite beneficial for meditation, prayer, study, and taking tests.

Quartz and quartz crystals have been used for religious purposes since ancient times. Quartz is one of the seven precious substances of Buddhism. It was also said to have been one of the stones used in the breastplate of the high priest. Ancient priests used quartz crystals to render negative energy impotent, to dissolve enchantments and spells, and to destroy all black magic.

Romans used quartz crystals for glandular swelling, to reduce fevers, and to relieve pain.

In the Scottish Highlands, a crystal set in silver and worn about the back was thought to be effective for diseases of the kidneys.

In medieval times, the quartz crystal was held against the tongue to assuage fever and diminish thirst.

In addition to the techniques and healing properties discussed in the following HEALING TECHNIQUES section, the quartz crystal can also be used in the treatment of disorders of the circulatory system. It has been used in the treatment of vertigo, to stabilize dizziness, and to promote emotional stability. Holding the crystal to an area of the skin which has been burned, has eliminated pain, blistering, and any trace of the burn. A topical elixir of the quartz crystal has been quite beneficial to skin disorders. An elixir taken internally, has been used in the elimination of toxins from the body. It can also be used in the treatment of digestive disorders and in the elimination of kidney and bladder infections and dysfunctions.

HEALING TECHNIQUES

The following information provides some examples on healing techniques. Once the reader has tried to techniques, the intuitive portion of the inner mind will provide further techniques for experimentation.

Since most dis-ease which occurs in the physical body is a reflection of disruption/disharmony of the energies in the etheric bodies, healing can more easily occur when harmony is restored within the outer bodies.

Crystals act as both transformers and harmonizers of energy and, hence, act to focus healing energy and healing intent, thereby producing the appropriate energy.

With ones thoughts, one can focus energy precisely where desired; with the additional help of a crystal, one can use this ability to stimulate healing. In many cases, the quartz crystal [or other mineral] enables the higher-self to direct the physical body to both repair and balance itself and, hence , facilitates the integration of the physical form with the “perfect self” of the ethereal.

There are for major accepted brain wave patterns which seem to have connective links to levels of consciousness. The advanced states are useful for healing stimulation and facilitation.

BETA – The Beta brain wave pattern exists on the level of the conscious mind; it is initiated at 14 cycles per second and usually averages about 21 cycles per second.

ALPHA – The Alpha brain wave pattern exits on the level of the dreaming mind, during the create state,, and with the initiation of minimal extra sensory perception [ESP], cell energy renewal, and the beginning level of suggestibility for the subconscious mind; it ranges from 7 – 14 cycles per second.

THETA – The Theta brain wave patter activates a deeper state of ESP, is the beginning level for psychokinesis [PK], facilitates painless surgery and dentistry, and initiates powerful levels of suggestibility; it ranges from 4 to 7 cycles per second.

DELTA – The Delta brain wave pattern is usually recognized during deep sleep; during this time all ESP and PK talents are stimulated and the qualities of total memory and total suggestibility are instilled; it ranges from 1/2 to 4 cycles per second.

It should be noted that there is a measurable increase in alpha brain waves after holding a quartz crystal for half an hour. Over a longer period of time, there is an increase in theta and delta brain waves.

The process of healing, when dis-ease is viewed as discontinuity of energy, becomes simple. When there is an energy blockage in the physical body, the flow of energy to the cells of the affected area is diminished and the related organs, tissues, and structures begin to degenerate; at this time, one usually begins to exhibit the symptoms of dis-ease. When energy returns to the area, rebuilding and renewal of cells can occur and the dis-ease can be eliminated.  One method of eliminating both the pain of dis-ease and that which is associated with energy blockages involves holding a crystal in the hand which is located on the same side of the body as the pain, while holding the other hand over the painful area; remain in this position until the pain begins to diminish [usually about 30 minutes]. With this technique, the amplifying ability of the crystal promotes additional direction of energy to the affected area. This technique is not recommended for the treatment of cancer of headaches.

NOTE:

Pain killers can interfere with the healing process by coating the nerve endings so that the signals from the cells do not reach the brain. In this case, the brain does not recognize the pain and does not recognize the need to assist. Hence, the brain does not send the energy needed, and the condition of the cells worsens. This is one reason why painful diseases are often debilitating and progressively degenerative [e.g., arthritis, circulatory disorders]. Via the energy of the quartz crystal [or other appropriate mineral], energy can be supplied to the cells such that the cells can now repair themselves; hence, eliminating the cause of the pain because the signal is no longer necessary.

Once with a fever can experience a quick restoration of normal temperature by holding  a crystal in the hand of preference, at arms length, and pointing the crystal away from the body. The crystal seems to both draw-away and discourage the excess body heat.

The headache remedy is somewhat different. Most pain needs energy to repair, but the headache is thought in dome cases, to be due to too much energy in the head. Energy flows in and out of the head via the crown and brow chakras; when a blockage [usually emotional] occurs, the energy cannot be released and the excess pressure initiates pain. In this case, the excess energy needs to be removed.

One method of removing this excess energy involves placing the quartz crystal in the hand of preference [pointing skyward]; this hand is then allowed to rest on the solar plexus or on the navel chakra. Placing the other hand on the headache pain, this hand can be used to remove the excess energy from the head and to transfer it to the solar plexus or the navel chakra. Upon arrival at the chakra area, the energy would produce a supplemental energy which is applied toward total balancing of the body. This can take approximately thirty minutes to complete. To speed the process, one may close the eyes and picture the headache as a dark cloud of excess energy, visualizing the “removal” hand as a giant vacuum cleaner which is dissipating the cloud. Watch until the cloud is gone and then allow the eyes to open. Upon completion of the technique [and relief of pain], remember to breath deeply for several moments and to thank the universe for thy perfect self.

Example of American-Indian-Method-Of-Healing-With-Crystal
[You As Healer]

1.   Breath upon the crystal to remove and “short circuit” and ambient negative forces.

2.   Initiate a mental connection, through the third-eye, to the crystal. ..

3.   The person requesting the healing places the hand of preference between the hands of the healer, yet not touching these hands. The crystal is in the hand of preference of the healer and is pointing toward the palm of the hand of preference of the subject.

4.   The healer rotates the crystal counter-clockwise [in locations of northern latitude] toward the palm of the hand of preference of the subject.

5.   The subject is asked to feel the influencing energy from the crystal. When this is acknowledged, the healer rotates the crystal clockwise [in locations of northern latitude]. The subject is asked to determine which position of the crystal conveys the energy which feels more compatible.

This is an attunement process for adjusting to the specific needs of the subject.

6.   At the point which feels most compatible, the crystal is positioned, not touching the hand, but in a position which allows the current from the crystal to be directed mentally into the affected area of the body. The healer continues to allow the energy to channel through hem/her [not giving away his\her own energy] until he/she “feels” the energy level change, or until the subject feels it is enough – usually about 20 minutes.

NOTE: You may do this for yourself, pointing the crystal directly to the affected area of sending it through the hand which is not he hand of preference to the desired location.

The activation (Left) Quartz Crystal can be recognized by an inclined window located on the left side of the primary face of the crystal.

Aperture Quartz Crystal

The Aperture Quartz Crystal is configured such that the crystal is cup shaped, with a hollow “crater” being large enough to contain liquid.

This configuration, filled with water or an elixir, can be used as a “seer stone”, to access information from the past, present, and future. It has been used with elixirs to enhance the qualities of same and to provide increased energy to elixirs; the elixir can be consumed from this design.

Barnacle Quartz Crystal

Barnacle Quartz Crystals are recognized as crystals covered or partially covered with smaller crystals. The larger crystal is the “old soul” and contains the wisdom and trust which attracts the smaller crystals.

This crystal can be used in meditation to provide insights to family and/or community problems. Buddha Quartz Crystal

The Buddha Quartz Crystal is recognized by the existence of an illusion resembling “Buddha-Sitting”, The illusion is located by looking through the main face of the crystal, to thee back of the crystal, to the position at the top of the back of the crystal. There is a line in the location which resembles a throne, upon which there is a figure similar to the “Buddha-Sitting” position. Danburite has also been found in this configuration.

The Carved (Natural) Quartz Crystal is recognized by the existence of a carved triangular face – the carving outlines the face and is etched such that the location of the engraved portion is normally white in appearance.

This configuration can assist one in contact with the extra-terrestrial information which is beneficial to ones grown and to the growth and increased awareness of our planet. It is a tool for the transfer of information between the self and others who reside on other planes of existence – the ethereal and the astral planes can be accessed without actual out of body travel to same.

In addition, this formation has been used to stimulate the recognition of details related to Earth-changes, astrological significance, and weather patters. It has been used for dowsing – the carved portion being the “Yes” significator.

Channeling Quartz Crystal

The Channeling Quartz Crystal is recognized by the configuration of a large seven-sided face. located in the center front position of the terminated end of the crystal; a triangular face is located on the opposite [backside] side of the crystal.

The “seven” of the one crystal face represents precision within the intuitive realm of the higher mind and the analytical understanding inherent in the mental and physical bodies. It is symbolic of the student, the professor, the mystic, and the seeker of wisdom.

The three-sided triangle on the opposing side provides for creative and innovative verbalization of inner truths. The “three” represents the both prerogative and the power of speech and the ability to both creatively and joyously express the self.

In this configuration, the “seven” represents the accessibility of innate wisdom and the “three” represents the ability of manifestation and verbal communication. The combination represents initiative and the interdependence between the world of the physical self and the perfection of “All That Is”.

The Channeling crystal provides for a means of channeling and expressing truth and wisdom from the both inner realms of perfection and the other worlds. It provides for a conscious connection to the higher wisdom which is available from higher-self and/or to the wisdom of experience and enlightenment which is available from the “other side”.

One method for using the channeling crystal is to first sit quietly, initiate circular breathing, and call upon protection and guidance, surrounding the self with white light and affirming that the results of the sessions and the forthcoming information will be for the good of all. A channeler who feels fatigued after a session has had his/her vital energy used by an entity which is less evolved and who could only have participated in the activity if the affirmation of “…for the good of all” and the protection of white light or other mechanisms were not utilized. It is very important to remember that we all have within us the knowledge that we seek.

Now hold the crystal in the receiving hand and allow the mind to quiet; continue the circular breathing and meditate upon the precepts involving love, wisdom, peace, and unity. Identify with the concepts and allow the inner understanding to encompass the total being. Visualize a pure clear blue light beaming into the throat chakra. Visualize an indigo or deep purple shimmering light at the third-eye. Verbally request the light and wisdom of “All That Is” to accompany, guide, and protect during this activity.

O hold the seven-sided face to the third eye, while continuing the circular breathing, and focus at the third-eye; or,
O place the crystal termination between the index and middle fingers of the hand [your choice], with the seven sided face toward the thumb. Allow the thumb to rest on the seven-sided face, close the eyes, and allow the information to flow to the conscious mind.

The impressions, symbols, images, feelings, or thoughts received should be acknowledged and expressed without doubt or distrust. Do not intellectualize or think about the information.

Cluster Quartz Crystals

Cluster Quartz Crystals are recognized by the occurrence of crystals in a cluster. They server to bring the “group” energy of he associated crystal to the surrounding environment, enhancing harmony and peace in groups, in the family, and in other social and/or business environments.

The energy generated is directly proportional to the number of crystals in the cluster.

Convoluted Sheet Quartz

Convoluted Sheet Quartz can be recognized by the existence of holes in a milky winding and twisted quartz configuration. The structure occurred during the flow of the quartz over other minerals (usually, tourmaline), and over time, the tourmaline dissolved due to the changes in the condition of the environment. Occasionally there are some pieces of this configuration which contain fragments of the tourmaline.

In the Curved Quartz Crystal curvature is produced during the developmental stages of growth and is rather a rare occurrence. The structure of the curved crystal provides for a continuous [when in ones energy field] alignment of the physical meridians and the nervous system, and the alignment of the physical, emotional, mental, etheric, astral, etc., bodies, singularly and with one another.

The Curved Quartz Crystal emanates a gentle, yet powerful, energy and can be used to cleanse the aura, to promote flexibility in ones attitudes, and to provide strength to ones decisions. It allows one to see the inner working of any situation and to understand the superficial and the deeper meanings inherent in same. Double Terminated Quartz Crystals are multi-functional; energy moves outward in either direction or both directions concurrently. They are also excellent for use in meditation.

Elestial Quartz Crystal

The Elestial Quartz Crystal is recognized by natural terminations over the body and face of an etched and/or layered crystal.

It is the “enchanted crystal”, bringing with it the concepts of Shiva and the understanding that after transition from one phase of life or from the physical body, the newness will be re-instilled. It provides the user with “a hug from the wind in the willow”, allowing for the flow in change and actualization.

These crystals can be used to assist one in overcoming emotional burdens, to bring that heart and the intellect into synchronicity, and to help one to look within and to find the love that has always been there. The elestial has been used in medicine wheel ceremonies to reach the ancestral spirits and to provide the channel for the integral knowledge regarding the questions of the participants. It provides for both receipt and dissemination of information, dependent upon the consciousness and loving state of the user.

It assists one in the art of communication and in verbalization of the state of the emotions at the time the state occurs. It assists one in the recognition of the way one actually feels, both emotionally and physically; hence, helping to stimulate the power of personal expression and personal potential.

The energy of the elestial is intensified at the locations of the energy vortices of the Earth and can be of great assistance in the mass cleansing, healing, and re-awakening of the consciousness of the planet.

An example of a procedure which may be used when the elestial is to be a part of healing is as follows. After attuning to the crystal, look within the self and ask whether the elestial should be used at this time. If so, ask the subject of the healing [it could be the self] if there is willingness to “see” the hidden cause behind the distress. Then hold the hand of the subject, allowing the elestial and if available, a herkimer diamond to rest between the palms of these hands; this furthers the attunement of the elestial to the self and to the subject and, additionally provides for integration between the elestial and the herkimer and the self and the subject.

Etched Quartz Crystal

The Etched Quartz Crystal can be recognized by the existence of abrasions located upon the outer areas of the crystal. The abrasions appear to be a type of hieroglyphics.

This formation has been used to facilitate contact and the transfer of information from the ancient Egyptian civilizations and from Lemuria and Atlantis. The transliteration of the symbols bring information relevant to ones life at the time of translation. They were once used in the healing temples of these ancient civilizations and, the markings also contain information of experiences in which they have participated. They also have contained information with respect to the healing methodology which has been proven successful over eons of the time and throughout the universe. They have been accessed during the meditative state and have provided information concerning techniques utilized in the ancient civilizations of the Earth and the other locations in the universe.

The Etched Quartz Crystal is usually a personal meditation crystal. Meditation with the crystal is easily accomplished by placing the “hieroglyphics” upon the third-eye. Faden Quartz Crystal

The Quartz Faden [pronounced as “Fah-den”] Crystal is one in which the inclusion of one or more white thread-like fibrous formations of quartz occurs. The name “Faden” is derived from the German translation of “Thread”. If more than one fiber is encompassed, the fibers are separate from each-other. The Faden is visible [as a white thread or fiber] within the quartz structure because it is surrounded by either a fluid-filled or gaseous-filled chamber. The fiber is located [usually] at, or in proximity to, the center of the crystal; the geometrical location is perpendicular to the termination of the crystal and may be linear and undeviating or curved/bent. Faden crystals have been found only in the fissures of metamorphic formations; unlike other quartz crystals, they do not form in pegmatite or in cavities of sedimentary rocks.

The Generator Quartz Crystal is recognized by a configuration of six crystal faces joining together to form the terminated apex. This crystal is “THE” quartz crystal for energy generation.

It s quite useful for energy magnification and for stimulating all portions of the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and subtle bodies.  It has been used to cleanse the chakras, and to supplant any voids and/or any negative energies which are contained, with positive radiant white light.

Crystals are everywhere, without them, there could be no computers or Internet, radio, TV, telecommunication, or various other modern conveniences. The reason for this is simple, crystals have the capacity to store, receive, and transmit in a consistently exact way. It was discovered long ago that an electrical current was induced by squeezing a thin wafer of crystal. Then in 1940, researchers discovered that foreign atoms added to a crystal could make transmitters, and radio was born, then television, and now computers. In fact, the silicon chips ( quartz) in your computer express their cycle of function: they receive, store, and transmit.

Crystals, especially quartz crystals, express the unity of all four elements.

  • Earth – They come from the earth, grow in the earth, and suggest the mineral evolution of this planet.
  • Fire – When a wafer thin bit of crystal is squeezed, it transmits an electrical (piezoelectric) charge, and releases photons of light.
  • Water – Crystals are related to water both in their molecular structure and in their ice – like appearance.
  • Air – Air lets light pass through, just like a crystal.

When we are working with crystals we are working with a representation of all four elements.

Crystals are what we are, what everything is, but in a pure form. They are a pure concentration of a particular molecule. Created in lattice structure much like 3D chain-link fence. This lattice structure is unique in that the smallest part is the exact dimension for the whole. These molecules hook together in in repeating and exact fashion. Fact is, most solids are crystal in structure, the difference is, in gemstones ( including quartz) the lattice structure is much more strict. For example many of us remember growing crystals from seed crystals in chemistry lab. Concentrated solutions shedding molecules to grow salt for instance.

Aside from hydrogen, every atom, including all of yours, were created exclusively within the explosions of stars. Science and physics tell us that this is the only environment capable of creating and or releasing of complex atoms. So it is of some note to find such rich concentrations of the atoms and molecules that the universe has an affinity to create. Aside from crystals it is just too fascinating, isn’t it.

Crystals have been associated with the powers of storing, receiving, and transmitting other types of energy long before the discovery of electricity. (The energy of life, emotions, and love for example.) The big snag is that the tangibility of proof is subjective to experience. This doesn’t jive well with the present scientific method. How can you prove there are energies when you have no device to measure them physically… yet …Some day perhaps.

Common experience is all that remains, Experience enough to make legends, sciences, and healing tools throughout the millennia, pre-dating and part of most religions. The Breastplates of the high priests for example. This experience has been passed down through countless generations, and in almost every culture. Different cultures claim different specific abilities, but for the most part the general idea is the same. It is my personal experience that you get out of crystals what you put into them, and you put into them what you expect out of it, sort of Freudian circle effect, or like prayer.

More information to add to these perceptions is the fact that different elements vibrate at different frequencies. Assuming the existence of these energies, it is likely that different types of crystals are suited to different variations of emotional and life energies. In fact, I have my own anecdotes on this.
